Varntige Community Day

What is Community Day?

We love being a part of this community and for one day every year, we close our doors, and gift our time to a local organisation or charity where we think we can help the most!

There is an application process and early each year we start the process again where local organisations can fill out our application form and wait to hear who receives our time for the day.

If you are a local Waikato Charity/Not for Profit or other organisation and you would like the opportunity to be chosen for our upcoming Community Day please fill out the application form below.

Check out how we helped our past winners!

Community Day Winners

Past Year's Winners

Check out some of the past winners for our Community Day.
We have come together to lift up a variety of different people and services.

Kids in Need Waikato

On this day we got to help Kids in Need Waikato change over from their winter stock to summer stock, help stock the tog & towel section ready for the sunny days, develop some assets for their social media campaign and of course, create some specialised bags filled with beautiful clothing and items for Kids in need.

Freeman Court Te Awamutu

This year we navigated our way around Covid and Lockdown to help Freeman Court in Te Awamutu. Freeman Court doesn't get a lot of funding for maintaining the gardens and outside area for its residents, so we spent the day water blasting, gardening and painting the area for the upcoming summer months.

Te Awamutu Boxing Academy

In 2020 we helped out the Te Awamutu Boxing Academy (The Te Awamutu Youth Development Trust) and managed to paint 3 rooms, help find funding opportunities, create new business cards, flyers and other design work.

Mathematics for a Lifetime Charitable Trust

In 2019 we helped Mathematics for a Lifetime Charitable Trust. We helped with Bookkeeping, Administration and Design as well as we walked the streets of Te Awamutu selling raffle tickets.

Cambridge Parents Centre

Helped out by cleaning the rooms for Cambridge Parents Centre.

NZ Assistance Dogs

Raised over $400 for NZ Assistance Dogs in the street in Te Awamutu.

Stop the Bus

Donated to Stop the Bus (yellow bus) in Te Awamutu 4 hours worth of time $276 as they had already left on their journey.
