The FAQs of hiring us as your VA - the answers to your questions!

How does this VA thing work?

So, you've been thinking about getting a VA (Virtual Assistant). To get started we offer a FREE 1-hour meeting to work out if we're the right VA for your business. We want to learn all about you and your business and what's important to you! After this if you want to get started, we send a Plan Document for the Packages/work we have discussed. You fill out our New Client Form and get given a VA (who manages all your work) and we get right to work. In that first meeting we often discuss what work you would want to hand over and once starting your VA will get everything from you so that they can complete these tasks. They will be in contact with you on a regular basis to make sure everything is running smoothly! 

Is it safe for me the client and what about confidentiality?

We pride ourselves on having set up processes to manage client safety. We use Last Pass for Password software - meaning we can store all your passwords, give access to the team members who need them. We take confidentiality very seriously. Computers are password locked when not attended. The discussions we have with you about your business are always kept confidential and stay with only our team members in our office and third parties that you have given us permission to contact and discuss these items with. We're happy to look at signing confidentiality agreements too. 

Will my VA be based in NZ?


We have a Team who are solely based from our Office in Te Awamutu, meaning you are dealing with someone either sitting in our office or at their home located in the Waikato. Most of our Team work from our office but due to sick children or other commitments they may end up working from home occasionally.

What jobs can my VA do for me?

We have a range of services: Administration, PA/EA services, Bookkeeping, Payroll, Phone answering services, Software Training, Graphic Design and Website services. With different team members specialising in different areas. If there is another task you need done please let us know, if we can't provide the service we are sure to know someone GREAT who does and even deal with it all in our office so it doesn't take up your time. 

What’s it going to cost me?


This depends on how much time you need a week/month. We have Ad Hoc services available and Monthly Packages for Regular work with a variety of hour options available. You can find pricing for our Monthly Regular Packages here. Then we often price up Projects for our Graphic Design and Websites.

What hours will my VA work for me?

Our office is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. This means that why you may only pay for 20 hours per month you can use us anytime between those hours. Giving you the benefit of a full-time staff member without having to pay for one or worry about employment costs. 

What happens if my VA is sick? 

We have a team of 5 at Varntige so there is always someone to cover your work should someone be away. The software we use allows us to keep procedures on all your regular tasks - which in turn means almost any of our team can help with your tasks. 

How can I share my documents with my VA?

We work with many online document cloud storage options - Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box - so whatever you're using you will be able to share with us your documents. If you're not using anything, we can set this up for you. We often have clients who:
  • Drop items in for us to scan
  • Post items
  • We pick items up. 
We work with you the client to work out a solution that is best for you.
